Chicory-Dandelion Brew
What could be better than a cozy brewed drink in the morning (or really any time of day)? Depending on who you ask, nothing! But who says it always has to be tea or coffee?
This particular beverage combines two liver-boosting plants — chicory and dandelion. Both these plants are edible, and in this case, brew-able! Add in some carob or cocoa for extra body and flavor, and you’ve got a stout morning brew that helps you feel amazing. It’s easy to make, so give it a try!

Ingredients
4-6 cups water
2 tbsp roasted chicory root
2 tbsp dandelion root
1 tbsp cocoa powder or carob powder
Instructions
In a small pot, combine the ingredients and bring to a boil over medium heat
Reduce heat and simmer for 10 minutes
Strain and serve
Makes 4 servings
*Add a medjool date to the potion while it is brewing for a little added sweetness.
Bonus: make it taste like a latte
Add coffee plus 1 scoop Vital Proteins chocolate collagen protein (vanilla is also delicious) and 4-6 oz Not Milk per serving to a blender and pulse for 30 seconds or so. Make sure the lid is secure. Enjoy!
